Mobile Phone Round-Up Of The Week!

Published January 26, 2007 by Harriet Rhodes in Uncategorized

Here’s this week’s round up of what’s been grabbing the headlines in the mobile world…Motorola KRZR K3

Great news for all Nokia lovers with knowledge that the awesome Nokia N95 will be on release in the UK around early-mid March time.  No official announcement has been made by Nokia as yet.  I just can’t wait to get my hand on this little beauty!

Motorola have plans to release a load of new handsets for the new year.  These include the Moto RIZR Z8, Moto KRZR K3, Moto Q2 HSDPA, Moto Q GSM/EDGE plus a range of budget handsets namely the W360, W205, w510, W395 mobiles.

For all you dangerous drivers out there who drive and talk on your mobile phone simultaneously, you’d better watch out! New laws mean you’ll now get three points on your licence as well as a £60 fine if you’re unlucky enough to get caught.  Shame on all of you who do this…I’d never be so irresponsible! ;) BluOnyx Mobile Content Server

The latest must have gadget for mobile phones could well be the BluOnyx Mobile Content Server, a storage solution for your mobile phones when card capacity just isn’t enough.  The product from Agere Systems allows you to transfer or stream music, video, pictures, business files to or from mobile phones, to any PC, TV or next-gen games console. Just connect by cable, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and up to 40GB of content is yours to explore!  Expected to be out in the summer.  It’s got me curious!

A massive study is soon to be underway to investigate whether or not long-term mobile phone users face a greater risk of brain cancer. More than 200,000 volunteers are to take part in a five year study. Professor Lawrie Challis, a world expert on mobile phone radiation, is in the final stages of negotiations with the Department of Health and the mobile phone industry to fund the £3 million study.

And finally guess what! We have yet another big name releasing a branded mobile phone.  Vodafone (Vodaphone) have launched three McLaren Mercedes inspired mobile phones – the McLaren Mercedes 770SH, GX29, and the McLaren Mercedes SHG-Z720M.  They don’t look too bad actually!

Have a good weekend folks!
