It’s the biggest week of the year if you happen to be nuts about mobile phones! The 3GSM Conference is taking place in Barcelona, and its the first place to get a glimse of what’s going to be big in 2007. Here’s a round up from the opening day…
1. Samsung F700: Samsung’s answer to the iPhone featuring a slide out keyboard, 5 megapixel camera and a touchscreen with Samsung new Vibe-Tonz technology.
2. Nokia E90 Communicator: Replacement for the old 9500 business model, with 3.2 megapizel camera, 4″ screen, full QWERTY keyboard and the latest in high speed connectivity.
3. Samsung U100: The world’s slimmest ever phone! A scrawny 5.9mm in profile, shaving a whole millimetre off its nearest rival, Samsung’s own X820.
4. Samsung U600 – Great looking slider phone that will be a big seller in 2007. Part of the Ultra range with stunning brushed metal finish, and featuring enhanced battery life and music playback capabilities. This model has a 3.2 megapixel camera.
5. Samsung F510 – Actually an update on a phone that isn’t even available yet, the F500 Video phone. Has a screen on each side and a swivelling bottom! The F510 features DVB-H support for mobile TV on the go.
6. Nokia N77 – Latest addition to Nokia’s top-end N-series, the N77 is a mobile TV device featuring DVB-H mobile broadcast technology.
7. Blackberry 8800 – Brand new Blackberry, which looks just like a cross between the Pearl and the ubiquitous 8700. This version includes GPS for use with Blackberry Maps, has 5 hours talktime, an incredible 22 days standby time, and of course comes with all the messaging and emailing capabilities of previous Blackberrys.
8. Motorola Rizr Z8 – Sexy, bendy slider phone that curves to the shape of your head! Apart from that basically another Razr clone from Motorola.
9. Motorola Slvr L9 – A much more substantial looking version of the Slvr L6, that does away with the laser cut keypad of the old model, and generally looks like a less flimsy, more impressive phone. Also has a two megapixel camera and an FM radio.
10. Samsung F520 – A similar looking model to the F700, with not just a touchscreen, but also a QWERTY keypboard and an alphanumeric keypad, via a unique dual-action slide facility.

Lg viewty is ace, espc since it can take a 4gb memory card, so can store thousands of songs, pics and vid.Big prob tho is, faulty models, where the screen freezes. This occured in my first 1, but replacement was perfect. After getting the replacement stolen, the nxt new 1 freezes again. Iam awaiting a new 1 now. If u dont mind waiting around too get a working model-the phone its self, is top notch!

All phones are useless, they only serve to deprive us of unfolding our minds into capable means of communication, we as the human race are falling behind in technological advances i.e in every which way we try to communicate with our fellow wo/man we are tied to electricity (try to imagine a world with no batteries, ac sockets or generators) with this in mind it must be clear that we are beating a path to nowhere, an actual nowhere in which we cannot function without plus and negative sides to a primitve device for transferring ENERGY. The way forward is inevitable, focus your mind; open yourselves to an overwhelming sense of satisfaction of never having to pay for a free commodity as electricity again, do away with phones and anything else that robs us of our devine right to use more than 5-10% of already festering brain matter, in short we got bumped by distraction cos when they pull the plug it will be for real

im on my 2nd w910i and about 2 send this 1 back aswell!!! not impressed!!! class fone if it worked properly!! but screen keeps freezing and swithes off by itself!! far 2 often. defo not a problem u can live with!! i will not b gettin another replacement!!

I dont like samsung they look ok but after my experiance recently of one of there models that wouldn’t stay switched on after turning it on kept turning off, i,ve waiting for my new z8 to arrive ,its not a flashy camera but thats not important to me it looks great i’v allways being happy with there kit including the razor and k1 great phones and they run the same so i know my way round to the new model cant wait to get my z8 and theres some great features and kit also being thrown in like the sstero bluetooth headset

The Samsung U600 is an outstanding phone and i would advise anybody who likes the Samsung model phones to buy it. The camera is extremly good it gives a very clear picture. the only bad thing about this phone is the memory for music, photos and videos, so you may need a memory card. However the memory for messages and phonebook is really good.
i would advise anybody to buy this phone its really was a good choice to suit me.
The 8210 can I just ask are you that old????? I trust my NOKIA 7373 and think the E900 is crap by the way…
oi the F700 and the F520 look like quality phones samsung is like the best phone designers ever….. but when are they released and how much they goin to cost….
i think that walkman phones are the best as you get more music instead of like 18 songs or something like that and the walkman phones offer good cameras and the pictures look good so the walkman phones are the best

Those new samsung phones have a very “psp-like” interface. Samsung make pants phones anyway. That D900 looks like someone sat on it :-S
