A survey conducted by iPhone blog iphonic.tv has concluded that the iPhone is too expensive!

The iPhone is going to be priced at $499 for the 4GB version and $599 for the 8GB – between £250 and £300.
Nearly 60% of respondents said that they’d be willing to pay up to £200 for the iPhone, while just over a quarter said that they’d pay between £200 and £250. Only 10% would be prepared to pay £250-300 and only 4% said they’d pay over £300.
These figures are a little misleading however, because we’re used to dealing primarily with phones that have been heavily discounted on contracts. To put it in perspective purely based on the price of the handset, the iPhone would be comparable to the Sony Ericsson W950i at this present moment.
We would estimate that if the iPhone were to be released now it would be available free on a £35 a month tariff, with no additional discount.
Is that cheap enough? What do you think?

iphone is overpriced nd overrated with all the new phones like the renoir omnia hd n97 apple are panicking trying to bring out new version of the iphone same design same evrythin with 1 new thing which bumps the price up like another £100 they should change the design and make it chepaer the design is quite borin
i want am iphone but i need it to be under £150 so i can go and by it
Nokia have an 8 Gig Mobile with faster Internet Browsing, Sturdier construction. many years experience in Mobile world and also 5 Megapixle Camera and Sat Nav to Boot..
Why even consider an overpriced and under spec Apple..
Aviod until it comes free with contract..
Apple are low-life American rip-off artists. They price the iPhone out of a normal users reach. Stupid greedy b*******s just like MicroShite. America is the greediest country out there. To them human life is worth nothing but money and oil is everything. Shame on them!
this is unrealistic price. i think the maximum price for iphone should be 20 quid!!! believe me the company still makes a profit on this price- it take£15 to build one!
if you dont beleive me check the price in 2 years time on ebay
ta
On O2 tariffs the iphone will be all together £1,259 due to the phone costing around £200 plus you have to go ont a contract for 18 months which we will be £35 a month which will alltogher have the cost of around £1,259 for the phone…which is a complete and utter rip off…!!>..x
Also on 02 u can only get the phone on 8gb costing a lot more..x
I think the price is about right seeing as it is a 4gb or 8gb Ipod in disguise as well as a phone and basically a mini Apple Mac computer all in one.
It’s way more than the new phones out there now and not much more expensive.
Can’t wait for it’s UK release.
i tink it too expensiw, tey shud increase price to 1000 pound, then pon will be unik. not ewryone vill bye.
If you compair what you will get with Iphone with other cell you will notice that what in you hand is a mobile so many companies still striglling to make something like it. I want to ask every one who say it is expensive if you are the one who made the I phone and you know how much tech. in it and effort what your price besid remember new mobiles when they come to the market they start high then the price come down. If you want to be differnt buy an Iphone.
The iPhone is pretty decent phone, but can you trust Apple’s first ever phone? I can’t really
i think its 2 expenziv, if dey lower it to £150-200 allota ppl will buy and dey might get profit…lol
You stupid poor b*****s, just buy the damn phone unless you want to stick to those stupid phones
The iphone is what it is it. it promises to deliver a UI that no other phone up to now has delivered (but many have promised) – if you use the phone a lot, you should want it but it’s not for everyone whether you can’t afford it or don’t want to – like a BMW, there are few compromises – you decide if it’s worth it to you. If you want cheap or don’t care, there are plenty of phones t choose from.
If the iPhone is too expansive then don’t buy one, just buy a celphone that you can afford.
the iphone is to expensive
PLEAS take the price downe
