Designed by a member of theĀ Product Design Forums as his entry to a recent design contest run by LG the Synthesis is a stunning concept phone that could easily become a real product in the future.
Touch screen devices are highly desirable these days and the Synthesis uses a single piece of scratch-resistant tempered glass for the screen with warm LED lights and a glossy white trim surrounding the screen.

The rear of the phone is scratch resistant rubber and includes a rather retro viewfinder for the 5 MP camera.
One of the most interesting things about this device is the active-matrix OLED (AMOLED) display which offers superior power consumption and a much larger viewing angle than standard displays.

LG’s bad rep is derived from their terrible battery life, as very noticably seen in the Vu. I just hope this phone exceeds LG’s normal expectations.
The phone is beautiful. If only LG had a much more successful reputation with their phones. Too many comments on aspects of reliability means the LG range remain “a gimmick”. Sony Ericsson or Nokia would run away with this model if they produced it…shame…lets hope so!
