Nokia’s experience in producing fantastic business phones certainly bodes well for the forthcoming E66, the company’s latest professional handset which we mentioned here and is rumoured to be officially announced in early June. But as always, the lack of official details has not stopped the flow of unofficial information and the E66 is shaping up nicely. Here are some of the highlights:
Key features of the Nokia E66
- Sleek slider phone casing.
- 3G enabled.
- Fast HSDPA connectivity
- A 3.2 megapixel camera plus a second, front-mounted lens for video calls.

Tipped to be actually released sometime in the second quarter of 2008, details are still rather scarce on the E66. We know it will be a smartphone, but have also heard it will feature GPS and Wi-Fi in amongst its already pretty impressive feature list. Obviously, we shall hold off getting too excited until Nokia tell us for sure, but it seems likely as the E65 (which this replaces) had Wi-Fi and the option to add a GPS module.
The design of the E66 also resembles the E65, while being a little smoother around the edges, plus benefiting from a large screen. We can expect official notification of the E66′s release and specification soon and despite the handsets rather somber looks, it’ll be well worth investigating.
