It's rumoured that the reason Wifi doesn't take place in the BB Storm is because it's network does not support it. It's carrier wants to concerntrate on using their network connection service rather than roaming free with wifi. It's not that terrible for me but I can understand it can be frustrating for others that depend on Wifi.

[...] I’m really excited about the touch screen developments on the BlackBerry Storm. The haptic vibration system makes for a new experience that the current touch screen market does not offer. When you touch the keypad for instance, the haptic vibrations simulate actual keys, making it easier to type. [...]

no wifi...
whatever else it has doesn't really matter anymore at that point.

Too many useful things and services that carriers don't allow on their Networks, so unless you have wifi, you're out of luck for using VPNs, VOIP and various other things.

And of all the high end smart phones I've looked at, Blackberry's Storm is the only one lacking something as fundamental as wifi... what are they thinking??
