Sony Ericsson W595 Special Release Report

It was way back in July when Sony Ericsson gave us official details of their two new Walkman branded mobile phones, the W902 and this, the new Sony Ericsson W595. As is probably clear from its model number, the W595 slots neatly into the middle of Sony Ericsson’s line-up and is similar in looks to the very popular S500i.

The W595 represents a great way to enter the world of 3.5G high speed data, or HSDPA as it’s also known. As the phone is likely to be available at a very competitive price, this makes it hard to beat in terms of outright connection speed and despite the W595 not being a smartphone, the Sony Ericsson Access NetFront browser is one of the best available on a feature phone. In addition to 3G HSDPA, the W595 also has EDGE and GPRS.

Of course, as a Walkman phone, the standout feature of the W595 is the superb music player. Installed on the handset will be the very latest version of Sony Ericsson’s Walkman software and will include MegaBass and a variety of tweaks to ensure the sound is the best possible, plus thanks to the built-in accelerometer a flick of the wrist can result in track advance or a shuffle of your tracks. Finally the mood based playlist generator SensMe will be there to help select the best music for your day.

A new feature for the Walkman range is the ability to have two sets of headphones plugged into the phone to allow a friend to share your music too. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Sony Ericsson phone if the W595 didn’t come with a camera, however it is a little basic. The 3.2 megapixel lens will take great snaps but the lack of autofocus and a flash unit will relegate it to being just for fun. But in all honesty, this is in keeping with the already fun image the W595 has.

Release Date

When Sony Ericsson said the W595 would be avaialble in Q4 of this year, they weren’t joking. This baby is already available for the picking and is certian to be on some peoples wishlists for Christmas.

Also Consider

Samsung are renowned for their great sounding music players almost as much as Sony Ericsson are, so make sure you take a look at the F400, which is also a 3G HSDPA handset and comes with the added advantage of a 3.5mm jackplug built into the casing instead of via an adaptor. Nokia’s music phones tend to be a little more expensive, with the N82 and the multimedia powerhouse N96 coming out on top, where LG’s Secret is also higher up in the range than the W595’s mid-level.

I know more about vintage valve radios than all this modern technology lark.
I can tell you that a UY85 is a mains halfwave rectifier valve in a valve radio.

What is a blue ray player?

What is meant by 1080P on a TV?

Why can’t i record on Sky plus without subscribing?

How does Sky TV control a satellite receiver with a plastic card impregnated with an 8 pin IC?
    What is BBC I player?
    Whast is an applemac IPod.
    The list is endless.

Why do people press buttons on a key ring to open their car doors, are they to lazy to put a key in the door?
Why do all the indicators flash on a car when it is unlocked or locked?
Why do we need sat nav when we got road maps, and what is wrong with asking for directions?
What is wrong with having a cassette player instead of a mobile phone playing music?
Why do people shove earphones in their lug holes like wireless operators on a boat?

    What’s the world coming to?

what is Voip and that other one something like skype, what does Blogg mean and what on earth is a Dongle?
These are very strange times we live in.
    I need a translation book.

I heard that Skype means free phone calls but that’s about all i know.

What on earth is a web blog?
Does anyone know what a Chav is?
    Give me latin anytime?
