We in the UK might have to wait a couple weeks for the fabled N97, but our North American phone-fans are able to get the latest Nokia product right now.  While the WWDC made many iPhone-adherents happy, for others the super-sophisticated N97 is the promised land.  The fact is that both are fairly awesome.  Which you go for depends on your personal taste.

The N97′s most notable feature is a mini QWERTY keyboard which folds out to make the whole thing look like a mini-computer, complete with cursor keys and a few extra switches and services.  Little things like an entire touch-screen, which acts in addition to the keyboard (instead of instead of one!)  It shares some features with Apple’s latest, including integrated GPS and compass for improved location services, but you can be sure that many have already pitched their camps on one side or the other.
