There’s nothing like being teased with chocolate, and LG knows it! The Korean company has provided early word on the return of their best-selling mobile phone, the Chocolate, but instead of giving us firm details, they’ve provided us with some promo shots of this ‘dark’ Chocolate. This comes after LG laid out plans for taking the coveted world number two spot from Samsung, and one of their tools to do this was a new Black Label handset.
LG have said we’ll know more on the new Chocolate come August, when the handset will receive its official unveiling, however GSMarena have printed a series of rumours surrounding the possible specs. The 5 megapixel camera and HSDPA seem the most likely, however they also report on a possible screen ratio of 21:9 – or a resolution of 800×345! Anyone who is interested in LCD TVs will undoubtedly recall this ratio as being recently introduced on the Philips 21:9 Cinema display.
Will it be true? Perhaps, however we can’t see exactly how this size screen would be better than a WVGA ratio as yet, as it barely has any benefit at home due to the lack of films which take advantage of it. Anyway, we would be happy for LG to prove otherwise, and thank them for continuing the recent run of exciting phone releases!
