VoIP service provider JAJAH has just announced that the company is teaming up with two of the Internet’s biggest dating sites to offer private voice calling between potential romantic matches. The VoIP provider has been trialing this service with both Match.com and eHarmony and has seen excellent results. The trial has been such a success that the JAJAH platform for dating is being officially rolled out.
The way that it works is that the dating site tells you who might be a love match for you. You can then explore the other person’s profile and chat with them online like you always do when making online dating connections. However, there comes a point in time when you’re ready to take those connections to the next level and actually hear the other person’s voice.
A lot of online dating matches stall out at this point. That is because there are some people who have an interest in the other person but who don’t trust them enough to give the person their phone number. This is often common among women who have concerns about giving out their number to strange men. The new dating platform allows the two people to connect via voice through the VoIP service offered on the dating site. This means that you can conduct a normal voice call without revealing your private number.
This could mean good news for the guys who try to use this VoIP service. That’s because the JAJAH trials indicate that women are nearly three times more likely to meet a man in person after speaking to him on the phone. And even if she doesn’t meet you, you’ll at least know where you stand because over one third of women will pass immediate judgment on a man’s dating potential after just that first call.
JAJAH has been doing really well for itself this year. It was twice named as a best 2009 startup company. Plus the company just reached its milestone of connecting one billion VoIP calls. They’re really cornering the market on online voice connections. As long as they can keep up with the ever-changing world of mobile VoIP, they should continue to do well for themselves.

“The VoIP provider has been trialing this service with … eHarmony and has seen excellent results.”
If “very very very few people use it” and “buggy at times” mean excellent results then I’ll be doggone. Secure Call, powered by Jajah, has been around in eHarmony since early 2007.
eHarmony officially announced it to members in May 2007.
Very very very few people use it, even before the financial meltdown.
Meanwhile, tons of things have changed in the VoIP industry since then, e.g., Google Voice.
$6 a month to be able to scare dates away because you don’t want to talk with them on the telephone like normal people do is exorbitant.
the idea is quite good and interesting but I think now the question will come up to the service, either jajah will be able to provide good voice quality or not? because there are several other VoIP players like skype, vopium and truphone which can come at place of jajah. but I must say it will improve online dating.
