Flickr reports that iPhones are outnumbering all comers, and while their graph seems to suffer from a slight lack of time axis, thereby making them less “graphs” and more “colorful scribbles”, there’s no mistaking that the iPhone number is certainly bigger than all the others.

There are a couple of caveats: this graph includes all three iPhones as one product, and while that’s essentially true we don’t think they were going for sarcastic commentary. This means that the Apple graph is a little inflated, overly-outnumbering other phones which are listed individually. More importantly this is purely by volume of photos – and anyone who’s spent any time online knows not to confuse quantity with quality. The poor Canon component might be lower in number, but we suspect that the professional picture-takers would rank higher if we could weight for “interesting photos” vs “blurry shots of some idiot at a bar.”
