Sony XPERIA Pureness

Published September 9, 2009 by Luke McKinney in Mobile Phones, News

pureness.jpgSony are making a play for the “Looking good at the expense of everything else” crowd with the XPERIA Pureness, one of the slickest-looking phones in a long time – and the most limited.  The display is a transparent panel, providing monochrome text and images overlaid on, well, whatever happens to be behind the phone at the time.
It’s a pretty cool concept but making room for all that nothing seems to have hamstrung the rest of the phone: no GPS or even Wifi feature in this style system, leaving serious doubts about exactly how much you want to give up for a phone that’s about 40% kind-of see-through.  Doubtless the final price will involve further sacrifices.
