HTC Hero Replacement to Debut at Mobile World Congress 2010?

HTC EspressoThe HTC Hero is currently the best Android phone on sale in Europe, but it’s looking likely its replacement will be along sooner than one would expect.  The Hero went on sale during the summer and wowed us all with the smooth integration between Android and HTC Sense, so what will replace it and when?

Rumour has it that our new hero will be codenamed the Espresso and will make its debut at the Mobile World Congress show, held in Barcelona from the 15th February next year.

The Espresso is an unseen mobile described only by some text found hidden inside a leaked Android ROM.  The information suggests the phone will have a QWERTY keyboard and a 320×480 pixel screen – so presumably the keyboard will slide-out, G1 style - with power coming from a 528Mhz ARM processor.  A Swedish HTC executive then mentioned that they would be introducing their latest Android flagship phone, and successor to the Hero, during MWC 2010.  So, putting two and two together should result in an Espresso!
