Three New LG Touchscreen Phones Spotted at CeBIT Show

The CeBIT 2010 show is currently taking place in Hanover, Germany and concentrates on anything IT and telecommunications related, but has a more business-like profile than last month’s Mobile World Congress.  It’s strange then, to see LG displaying three new phones here, after their MWC no-show.

The first is the LG Cookie Fresh, or GS290.  This is an low to mid-range feature phone without 3G, but packing a 3.5mmjack socket and an FM radio to attract the music-loving younger buyer.  A 2 megapixel camera and a 3″ touchscreen complete to currently known specification.

LG’s second phone is the GM360 Bali.  Again, this is a 2G phone but it ups the camera spec to a 5 megapixel item and includes a MicroSD card slot too.  It’s still a feature phone with a 400×240 pixel resolution touchscreen, plus the MP3 and FM radio entertainment features.  The Bali is expected to launch in Germany first sometime during spring.

Finally, we have the LG Viewty GT400.  This new entry into the Viewty line-up will likely trade on the original and Viewty Smart’s reputation as fine camera phones.  A 5 megapixel camera may not sound like much today, but add in 720p video and an affordable price tag, and it does make sense.  The 3″ touchscreen looks a little lost surrounded by that massive bezel, but we will reserve judgement until we see it after its possible spring launch.
