There are not too many times when you want to use Caps Lock. However, the times when you do need it, it’s really convenient. It’s a lot easier to set your keyboard to display ALL CAPS than it is to have to capitalize each letter of a word or phrase yourself. As mobile phones get closer and closer to being small computers, we might want to have the ability to use Caps Lock on our phones. Guess what? The iPhone already has that ability.
To use Caps Lock on your iPhone, you first have to enable it. Since it’s not a common thing to use, Apple leaves it disabled by default. Enabling it is easy, though. Here’s how to do it:
- Go to Settings.
- Got to General.
- Select Keyboard.
- Choose Enable Caps Lock.
You’re all set. Does this mean that you’ll always have Caps Lock on? No, of course not. Enabling Caps Lock just means that you’ll have easy access to it just like you do on your keyboard. When you want to use it, simply double-tap the Shift key. It will switch to ALL CAPS. Double-tap again to go back to your normal keyboard.
