Now pay attention, this is a leaked Samsung device and a new entry in the rapidly expanding Galaxy range of mobile phones. The Samsung Q’s specs have been discovered by a OO agent monitoring Samsung’s Download support documentation, and is a potential threat to other active devices including the BlackBerry Bold and the Nokia E72.
Anyway, as you have probably guessed by now, the Q has a fixed QWERTY keyboard, making it rather unusual in the Android world! No picture exists, but you can see the specification below:
- 3G with HSDPA and HSUPA.
- Google Android v2.2.
- A 3″ Super AMOLED screen with a 720×480 pixel resolution.
- An 8 megapixel camera with LED flash.
- Forward facing video call camera.
- Bluetooth 3.0.
It continues too, as the Q is listed as having a mini-HDMI port, GPS and 16GB of internal memory plus a microSD card slot too. The 3″ screen will be a touchscreen with multi-touch support, plus there will be an optical trackpad in case you prefer that method of navigation.
Even if it’s unlikely to have a strong electromagnet or a garrote, we think that looks like a very complete feature list and with the bonus of the unusual – for Android – form factor, this could be a winner for Samsung. We look forward to adding it to our guide to the Samsung Galaxy range!
