LG Get Black To Their Best

LG’s making a play for a bit of high-end smartphone action. Since the beginning, the company has made no secret of their plans to build as many pre-pay handsets as humanly possible and win over pay-as-you-go consumers in the process. But 2011 marks a new era for the company and at the very start of the year, at CES, LG announced that they were taking a different direction and unveiled two new products that would mark the beginning of their contract assault.

The LG Optimus 2x was the first to hit our screens, a dual-cored powerhouse and world first for double processing which garnered pretty impressive reviews from tech journo’s who had the chance to get up close and personal with it. The second Android offering, the LG Optimus Black, runs a single processor but stole the ‘world’s thinnest smartphone’ title from the current darling, the iPhone 4. The Optimus Black was somewhat overshadowed at CES thanks to its speedy companion, but it’s still a decent piece of kit. Take a look at the below video to see what it has to offer, we will warn you it’s not as exciting as that cube business we got hold of for the 2x, but you get the general idea…
