The Nokia E6-00 has been hanging around for quite some time, as it first appeared in some Nokia code back in January before popping up in picture form at the beginning of February. Just a couple of weeks ago another picture was leaked, confirming the device would have a touchscreen to go along with its QWERTY keyboard.
Now we’ve got a stack of new pictures and videos of the E6-00, plus some more feature news too. That’s two leaks in the same month, following two consecutive individual leaks over the past two months! We’d say Nokia are getting close to making this one official.
Some previously rumoured specs have been confirmed, including the presence of a touchscreen measuring between 2.5″ and 2.8″, plus an 8 megapixel camera with 720p video and a dual-LED flash. The detailed pictures show a 3.5mm headphone socket and a series of touch-sensitive button flanking the d-pad.
The images appeared on a Nokia forum and the user who took them says the screen has a resolution of 640 x 480 and that the phone uses a version of Symbian^3. Is it anything other than a modified version for that size screen? We’ll have to wait and see.
The E6-00 looks good in the pictures, even though it’s hardly a massive departure from its E71/E72 predecessors. Come on then Nokia, let’s have the official details!
