Images of what is purported to be BlackBerry’s latest device have appeared on the internet, sparking a wave of speculation over RIM’s forthcoming release schedule.
A slide obtained by CrackBerry appears to show the BlackBerry London, a BlackBerry 10 powered device which looks not dissimilar to the Canadian company’s PlayBook tablet.
Boasting a slim design with rounded corners, the London is thought to feature a more substantial battery, something that has been deduced from the large space above the screen suggesting that the form factor has been stretched to accommodate a larger battery without adding depth.
The rear of the device appears to show BlackBerry a camera with LED flash in the top left corner, although how many megapixels the lens will be packing is unclear.
This latest leak is a radical departure from images of the BlackBerry London previously seen on the web back in November last year that featured more angular edges, BBX OS (before it was renamed BlackBerry 10) and a similar design to the Porsche Design P’9981 model.
Spec details and release dates didn’t accompany the leaked slide but the speed in which this device appears is inextricably linked to RIM’s BlackBerry 10 OS, a launch date for which has yet to be set.
