NVIDIA To Reveal Quad-Core Technology At MWC

American CPU pioneer NVIDIA has sent out press invites to an event forming part of its  Mobile World Congress plans, stating that the main presentation will centre on quad-core devices.

According to according to 9to5Google NVIDIA has already teased its quad-core device capabilities, with the brief unveiling of a 7-inch Tegra 3-powered ASUS tablet at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas earlier in the year.

Some sources are suggesting that the MWC event may be a full unveiling of this device, with others speculating on a launch for the Fujitsu Arrow, a Tegra 3-toting smartphone that also made its debut at CES.

Other reports are pointing towards a possible launch for the much-vaunted HTC Edge, however with HTC planning its own event 24 hours before the start of MWC, this seems highly unlikely.

Whatever the outcome of NVIDIA’s press gathering, it is safe to assume that quad-core technology will be a major talking point in Barcelona in just under three weeks time.
