The short video does not actually feature the Galaxy Note 2 in great detail, but focuses instead on the functionality of the S-Pen. The stylus is seen being removed from the device and then used to draw and click around the screen of the handset.
Showing highly stylised imagery alongside a caption reading ‘when magical moments come alive, everything is an inspiration’, it seems that Samsung is set to push the creative elements of the Note 2 in its initial marketing.
Film director Wim Wenders has also been enlisted by the Korean company in the clip. The legendary movie maker is seen wandering pensively around Berlin, before enigmatically uttering: “All the things you can do in the blink of an eye, with such a small and light thing. Anybody can do it.”
As previously reported, the next Galaxy Note will be launched at a Samsung Unpacked event in Berlin on 29 August. No details of the device have been confirmed, but a larger 5.5-inch display, faster processor and a higher resolution camera are all expected.
