Samsung Tease Windows 8 Tablet Ahead of IFA 2012

Samsung has released a teaser video showing an as yet unreleased Windows 8 tablet, leading to an expected unveiling at the forthcoming IFA 2012 event in Berlin.

The video shows an unnamed tablet complete with S-Pen, a metal-finish bezel and seemingly high-resolution display. Also displayed is what appears to be a detachable keyboard, as seen on the Asus Transformer Prime and, more recently, Microsoft’s Surface tab.

Sources suggest that the tablet will run a full fat version of Microsoft’s upcoming Windows 8 platform, placing the device firmly in the premium notebook and laptop sector.

As usual, the Korean tech giant has made no official comment regarding the specifications of the tablet, however, an Intel processor alongside S-Pen enabled Microsoft Office software has been slated by several sources.

The official launch is expected to take place over the coming days as part of IFA 2012. Stay tuned to Dialaphone for regular updates from the event, along with detailed roundups at the end of each day.
