HTC M7 Spotted, while the HTC M4 and G2 are Leaked

The HTC M7 is believed to be the star of HTC’s 19 February event, and could be the firm’s 2013 flagship Android phone. Now, any doubt of the phone’s existence has been cleared up by HTC chairman Peter Chou, who started taking snaps at the company’s end-of-year party with the device.

It looks like the phone is popular at HTC too, as Chou led the gathered staff in a slightly disconcerting chant consisting primarily of the phone’s name. You can see the video here. Sadly, there are no detailed shots of the M7, only the white rear cover.

The M7′s surprise appearance isn’t the only HTC news though, as a pair of other devices have been leaked, and they could officially arrive at the very same February launch event. The first phone is the HTC M4, which is said to be equipped with a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, a 720p screen measuring 4.3-inches, and a big 13 megapixel camera.

With specs and a name like that, the M4 is likely to be the M7′s little brother, much like the One S was to the One X. However, the G2 is probably not going to be the same type of phone as the M4 and M7, and if the leak is accurate the phone will be the Desire’s replacement. The screen is rumoured to be a 3.5-inch panel, while other features include a 1GHz processor and a 5 megapixel camera.

The G2 may only be equipped with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, while the M4 will have Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, again indicating it’ll be higher up the ranks. While it’s logical the pair will join the M7 at the forthcoming event, according to the source of the leak, neither phone will; and they won’t be at Mobile World Congress either. We’re not sure, but it won’t be long until we find out.
