HTC One Android KitKat Update Arriving in January

HTC has taken to its official Twitter account to announce that its flagship HTC One handset will be getting an upgrade to Android KitKat by the end of January 2014.

The message read: “We’re working with our local carriers to begin the rollout of Android 4.4 and Sense 5.5 for the #HTCOne from end of January 2014”.

While KitKat may not be the biggest Android update we’ve ever seen, what could be more exciting to owners of the Taiwanese firm’s handset is the arrival of the latest version of HTC’s user interface, Sense 5.5.

We got a look at the new UI on the HTC One max and were greatly impressed with it. Along with several innovative features, the biggest difference to HTC One users will come with the ability to turn BlinkFeed off.
